Season 6, Episode 1 (9.13.1987) Now to the main plot of the show (a two-parter, so you just know it’s an Alex romantic dilemma). Alex signs up for a psychology student’s study on overachievers, and the student happens to be, yup, Courtney Cox (this photo: awwww). Prior to her Ties debut (and yeah, get used to her), she’d appeared in the Masters of the Universe movie and Cocoon: The Return, but is most remembered as the doe-eyed Boss fan who gets pulled onstage in the “Dancing in the Dark” video*, re-cementing Bruce’s reputation as the Rock God who is also A Man of the People. And despite her later canonization in Friends and The Show About Cougars, for some of us she’s the girl in the sleeveless tee who did that one dance that defined a decade. *RIP Clarence Clemons.
