Season 5, Episode 21 (2.26.1987)

This deserves moving pictures.  Jennifer’s got a band!  Called Permanent Waves!  And yes, that’s Christina Applegate on synth!!  The playing is Zack Attack level not-even-close-to-reality—the dancing, though, is sublime—but I think that might actually be Tina Yothers’ voice.  A very early-Madonna vibe, all around.

It’s totally real deal Tina Y. singing. She put out a record in the late ’90s. She had dark hair. It was a rock album, I think.
